I received a photo of my brand new book – Killer on the Kelvin Explorer – propped up by an unsuspecting feline, and then another, and then I decided Ted ought to get in on the action too.

Cats from left to right:
- Ted, who lives with us
- Kestrel, who lives with A. J. Lancaster
- FatBrian, who lives with The Cosy Moose
If anyone else wants to join in (especially if you share a home with a ginger like Keith, the hero of Harper House), please send in your photos (reply to my email newsletter or message on one of the socials). I’d love to share them!
If you do, be sure you compensate your feline model for their efforts with a nice pat, a kind word, and their preferred treat. I dutifully supplied Ted with chicken Temptations as recompense, even if he did refuse to look at the camera.
Killer on the Kelvin Explorer
Addison Harper and Sergeant Jake Murphy are off to a shaky start with their new living situation. So, when Addison has the chance to get out of town and clear his head, he’s quick to climb aboard.
The day’s scenic railway journey features a powerful steam engine pulling lovingly restored heritage carriages. On the train, passengers enjoy dramatic landscapes and endless cups of tea. When it comes to driving Milverton’s tourism, Addison can see they’re already on the right track. Unfortunately, a death en route threatens to derail not only the day’s excursion but any future marketing efforts.
Passengers have been promised an unforgettable day out… and they’re going to get it.
