I attended 20Book Auckland – a one-day book publishing conference and networking event – and it was a big day. Craig Martelle hosted a great line-up of inspiring and motivating speakers, but the major win for me was hearing from and speaking with local authors.

There was plenty of time in the schedule for coffee and tea breaks, and I met so many people I’d only ever interacted with online. And then a big bunch of us went out for dinner and drinks afterwards too. A very worthwhile day.

I made a couple of very brief TikTok videos – one about getting to the event, and the other about the event itself. But I was so busy listening, taking notes, chatting, and meeting folks, that I forgot to get many videos or photos on the day!
