I’ve just finished the latest round of edits on my WIP in time to pass on to my beta readers. Now, while they tear it to shreds I’ll be distracting myself with a completely new project for NaNoWriMo, hence the self-imposed deadline for the WIP!

This year will be my first attempt, and I’ve given myself a rather luxurious two whole days to prepare before this all kicks off. 50,000 words in 30 days, with nary a plan in sight? It’s going to be a disaster…

But what’s the new project? A cosy mystery with gay main character set in New Zealand. I’ll probably be pulling my hair out over on Twitter so come and join in with me @gbralph if you want to witness that train wreck.

But at least I’ve set up my NaNoWriMo profile, and even chucked together a placeholder book cover image, so that’s a start. If you’re joining in this year, come and buddy request me (user: gbralph) and we’ll cheer each other on!
