For me, releasing a new book into the wild is equal parts excitement and terror. But seeing how much early readers loved Death in Douglas Glade – variously describing it as “the best one yet”, “fun and clever and delightful,” and “exactly what I needed to read” – was a real boost.
Then those wonderful words were backed up with cold, hard numbers when Death in Douglas Glade jumped up the charts! It hit the #1 spot on Amazon’s New Release in LGBTQ+ Mystery chart, swiftly followed by the #1 spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers in LGBTQ+ Mystery chart, all within 24 hours of release. What a day!
