Week one reception to my new spooky cosy theatrical mystery novel

The drama! The controversy! That’s drag, honey.

In the first week since the ebook release, Fright on Stage Right (The Milverton Mysteries #4) has been a big hit with readers with lots of lovely, enthusiastic, positive feedback!

However, it didn’t go down quite so well with a couple of readers and that is totally OK too. ‘Those who seek to please everybody please nobody’, right? RIGHT? I shall hold on to that, anyway. I hope this spread of ratings mean we’re more pleased than not, and that those who didn’t vibe with this book will find something more to their taste for their next read!

Week one reception to Fright on Stage Right by G. B. Ralph. Book review sites average ratings: Amazon 4.2 out of 5 stars, Goodreads 4.09 out of 5 stars, The StoryGraph 4.19 out of 5 stars. Review text excerpts: “Magical”, “Cosy little read”, “It's always fun to spend time with the citizens of Milverton”, “The mystery kept me guessing”, “the sexual innuendo can be a bit over the top”, “Am half way through. As fab as the others!”, “Another super Milverton mystery”.

If you’ve already read and enjoyed Fright on Stage Right, I would love if you popped a star rating – or a text review for extra bonus points! – up on your book retailer website or book review platform of choice. It all helps new readers discover books they might enjoy!

Want to see what all the fuss is about?

Fright on Stage Right (A Milverton Mystery) by G. B. Ralph. Cover image and description/blurb. It’s opening night at the theatre and Addison Harper has front-row seats with Sergeant Jake Murphy. This might just be his perfect date. The variety show promises spooky Halloween fun, ghoulish drag queens, frightening musical numbers, and the scariest thing of all: audience participation. Of course, the unlucky victim dragged from the safety of his seat is a mortified Addison. In a production full of twists and turns, he has no idea what’s coming next but nobody could have anticipated witnessing a sudden, absolutely unscripted, and very real death. A dreadful accident? Or was it foul play? As the curtain falls before a horror-struck audience, Addison Harper finds himself once again in the spotlight at centre stage.
