A very bookish day out in Featherston

The Featherston Booktown Karukatea Festival is always a highlight! We caught up with friends for:

  • coffee and brunch at Everest Bistro & Cafe,
  • a wander around the bookseller marquee,
  • a political panel hosted by John Campbell asking what does “left” even mean,
  • a quick wine at The Royal Hotel between sessions,
  • an author panel discussing making a living from writing, and
  • another wine while we debriefed!

Such an excellent event, with fascinating speakers, great food and drinks, and all set in a wonderful town overflowing with second-hand bookshops!
