Facebook and Instagram’s parent company Meta are weighing in with their text-based social media app, Threads, after another turbulent week over on Twitter.

Released to the public only hours ago, I’ve just started having a little look around. I downloaded the app (Apple App Store / Google Play Store), logged in with my Instagram account (@gbralph_), then imported all my people from Instagram.

It has a similar feel and functionality to Twitter, and I’m hoping it will develop into a great place to meet other readers and writers and to discuss books and anything else that takes my fancy.
